Last updated: April 30, 2026Welcome to Baobae. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Baobae service ("Service"), operated by Baobae ("we," "us," or "our").
By signing up or using Baobae, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
1. What Baobae is (and isn't).
Baobae is a personal relationship assistant. We use AI to send you personalized nudges, reminders, conversation prompts, and date ideas — delivered to you and your partner via SMS or iMessage.
If you or your partner are experiencing a mental health crisis or need professional support, please contact a licensed therapist or counselor, or reach emergency services.
2. Eligibility.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Baobae. By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are adding a partner to your account, you confirm that they are also 18 or older and have consented to receive messages from Baobae.
3. SMS messaging and TCPA consent.
Baobae delivers its service primarily through SMS and iMessage.
By signing up and providing your phone number, you expressly consent to receive automated and AI-generated text messages from Baobae at the phone number you provide. These messages include reminders, suggestions, check-ins, and other relationship-related content.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your settings and relationship activity.
To opt out:Reply STOP to any Baobae message at any time. You'll receive one confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. Note that opting out of SMS means opting out of the core Service.

You can invite your partner to Baobae via an invite link. Your partner's consent is collected when they accept the invitation and join the Service. We will not message your partner until they have accepted. Do not share an invite link with someone who has not agreed to join.
4. Your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
You agree to provide accurate information when setting up your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where information is false, misleading, or used to harm others.

6. Relationship context and user content.
You may provide Baobae with information about your relationship — your partner's name, interests, upcoming events, and other context. This information is used to personalize the Service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you share. Do not input sensitive information about third parties without their consent. By submitting information to Baobae, you grant us a limited license to use it to operate and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

All content, software, and design within the Baobae Service is owned by or licensed to Baobae. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any part of the Service.
The AI-generated messages and suggestions Baobae sends you are generated on your behalf based on your inputs. You may use them however you like in your personal life.
9. Disclaimers.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that Baobae's suggestions will improve your relationship, prevent conflicts, or produce any particular outcome. Relationships are complex, and no AI assistant can replace genuine human effort and communication.
10. Limitation of liability.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BAOBAE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO BAOBAE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Indemnification.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Baobae and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.
12. Termination.
You may stop using Baobae and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or for any reason with reasonable notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 8 through 13 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). You waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. This arbitration clause does not apply to disputes that qualify for small claims court.
14. Changes to these terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by SMS or email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.
